Cook – Full-Time
  • Participate in food production for the department’s multiple food programs.
  • Practice the highest standards of knife skills.
  • Must follow standardized recipes as written to produce consistent results of product.
  • Complete the assigned production schedule within allotted time frame.
  • Able to work with any and all products required to satisfy the production list as directed including: meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, fruits, dairy, nuts and grains.
  • Understand and recognize quality ingredients and prepare them efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Understand and practice standard FIFO procedures.
  • To be able to work with peers in a variety of work spaces and conditions.
  • Demonstrates good decision making in daily use of stocked goods with respect to constantly changing availability.
  • Make recommendations for improvements in all phases of food handling and production.
  • Adhere to safe food handling procedures in the kitchen, grill, walk-in and waste management areas.
  • Ensure all cooking and food storage areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling.
  • Proper maintenance and handling of knives and other cutting equipment.
  • Assist in receiving goods for the department when necessary following appropriate

Cashiers

  • Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred.
  • Open to working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and handle multiple demands.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
  • Works well individually or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Cashier Shift Lead

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to ensure instructions are clearly passed to cashiers and reports adequately made to the management
  • Must be a team player to motivate cashiers to optimal performance
  • Creativity in handling issues and resolving customer complaints and disputes among cashiers
  • Decision making skills: must be prepared to make quick decisions that will be satisfactory to customers and beneficial to the company
  • Ability to accurately reconcile cash with receipts at the end of each shift and make sure that any discrepancies are managed immediately
  • Responsible for managing bank deposits and making sure that cash is counted accurately at the end of each shift
  • Skilled at identifying and correcting cash register errors and taking measures to ensure that further errors do not happen

Part Time Barista Requirements

  • Learns quickly and carry out oral/written instructions and recipes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Works well individually or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoys building professional relationships with customers.
  • Possess adequate skills necessary to prepare a diverse and evolving menu of beverages.
  • Open to working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Part Time Food Service Prep/Packer Requirements

  • Participate in food production for multiple food programs such as beverage, deli case, grab & go and the grill.
  • Ability to learn quickly and carry out oral/written instructions and recipes.
  • Works well individually or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable about knife skills, food handling, safety, sanitation, etc.
  • Able to follow recipes and complete production lists as assigned.
  • Ability to anticipate production needs to ensure smooth product flow, learning rotation of products and what is needed daily/weekly/monthly, etc.
  • Open to working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Part Time Provender Counter Attendant Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong customer service orientation; able to effectively work as part of a team.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with customers.
  • Enjoys sharing knowledge about department offerings.
  • Service customers by filling customers’ requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Set up and maintain attractive, fully stocked display cases.
  • Assist customers by with questions and product selection by suggestive selling.
  • Build customer loyalty by providing exemplary customer service.
  • Properly package, weigh, and label foods.
  • Properly rotate merchandise in refrigerated coolers and displays.
  • Open to working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
